Glory to God, Glory to God, Praise and Alleluia!

This is a folk-style  hymn, giving glory and praise to God.

It was written by American United Methodist church musician, composer and performing artist Jim Strathdee (b 1941) Jim Strathdee, and first published by Desert Flower Music in 1977.   It was later included in his collection "There's Time".

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Strathdee. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of D, the first few notes of the melody are DFA B_ FED B,_ with accompanying chords D / Bm / D / Em.
