Lyrics
The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this website. A rough outline is:1 There's a time for remembering, a time to recall ...
2 There is gold that is gleaming in a past we once knew ...
Chorus:
There is treasure in our fields. There is treasure in our skies.
There is treasure in our dreaming from the soul to the eye;
For wherever we gather in the light of God's grace,
And for all whom we remember, there will ever be a place.
3 There's a promise of God that is written in the stars ...
4 In the quiet of the evening, at the close of the day ...
As we seek for tomorrow, our God will be there. (*)
(*) Some versions give this line as "As we seek for tomorrow, close by us you'll stay". However the line quoted above is used in the original recording.
