It was written by American Quaker and later evangelical pastor, author and musician and founder of the Vineyard church, John Richard Wimber (1934-1997).
With meter 9.7.11 D, the tune, also by Wimber, was originally unnamed. However some publications have it listed as SPIRIT SONG. It has a 4/4 time signature, and in the key of C, the first few notes are EFG A A A A AD_ with accompanying chords C / Fmaj7 / Dmin7
