The Whole World is Waiting for Love (Come Down Lord Jesus)

This  is an Advent hymn.   It is likely to have been intended for children, but can be used in all-age settings as well.

It was written by Croatian-American Roman Catholic sister, teacher, music-director and radio-announcer, Marianne (Sister Mary Antonetta) Misetich SNJM (1928-2017), and first published in 1977.

Hymn books it has been published in include the Australian As One Voice, and OCP's Breaking Bread series. Sheet music is today available from OCP and downloadable from SheetMusicPlus (link below).

The un-named tune, also by Misetich, has a 3/4 time signature.  In the key of Eb, the first few notes are E EFG FGA G_ B_ with accompanying chords Eb / Fm / Eb / Bb.
