It was written by Australian Roman Catholic priest, folk-composer and liturgist, Frank Andersen MSC. It was included in his Eagles Wings collection released in 1979, and has appeared in a many other hymn-books
since then, including
Celebration Hymnal for Everyone
(McCrimmon Publications, 1994 and 2012 editions). A hymn book is the only
known source of sheet music.
