Published in 1974 by McCrimmond-Mayhew, and edited by Kevin Mayhew, this title was widely known as "the little red book".It was perhaps the first UK-produced song book to match the more informal style of liturgical music that was opened to the Catholic church following Vatican II. All hymns are in lead-sheet (ie melody-line + guitar chords) format, and there are a small number of Mass-parts (ICEL-1973) are included. In total 104 songs are included, all in English.
The book is out of print, although some hymns from it are repeated in later publications from Kevin Mayhew Ltd. Second-hand copies are often available on Amazon (USA, UK / Ireland, rest of the world)
